The AIGA Raleigh Emerging Designer Meetup is an open gathering for emerging designers in the Triangle area. This is an opportunity to network with peers, enjoy food from the Bam Pow Chow food truck, have a beer and discuss ideas related to design and the transition into being a professional designer.
At this meetup and to ignite conversation, AIGA Raleigh member and designer, Michael Galiano, will be sharing his story and advice on the following areas:
- Networking and its benefits
- Steps to take in finding a design job: what to do/not to do
- Current trends and education that lead you to your dream job
The September location is Fortnight Brewing Company in Cary. Come for the English and locally inspired hand-crafted beer and delicious food, but stay for engaging discussion with other designers who have the same needs as you. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available. Please note that due to this location, all attendees must be 21 and over.
