Don’t miss this opportunity to get an inside look into some of Raleigh’s leading Graphic Design, Web Design and Advertising Agencies.

Each studio will be opening its doors to the public, offering light refreshments and chatting with potential employees, interns, vendors, colleagues and clients. This event is free and open to the public.

The following agencies will be participating in the event:

  • Back Home Productions
  • Baldwin&
  • Capstrat
  • Coalmarch
  • Generate Design
  • Fragment Labs
  • French West Vaughan
  • Mellonaid
  • Myriad Media
  • New Kind
  • Red Hat
  • Three Ships Media

This will be a great networking event for the local design community. It’s also a terrific opportunity for local business owners and entrepreneurs to become acquainted with the creative talent in their own backyard. We encourage local design students, professional designers, commercial photographers, videographers, copywriters, creative directors, printer reps, paper reps, web developers, illustrators, business owners, marketing directors, and other design aficionados to join in the fun.

Got a ride? Need a ride? Please visit the AIGA Raleigh Facebook page if you’d like to carpool. It’s a great way to save gas and make new friends. We’re also encouraging folks to use the free R-Line Bus in downtown Raleigh.

Printed maps will be available at the event, and we’ll also be emailing a PDF map to everyone who registers. This is a self-guided tour, so you’re welcome to visit as many or as few studios as you wish. Use our Google map to plan your route, find it on the Studio Tour Website.

I could go on and on about Skillshare, but the real point is because of my AIGA membership I was able to utilize another resource to make me a well round creative person.

Letterpress and screen printing have been going through a renaissance, a movement that is clearly evident in Durham, North Carolina. In a world where digital work is easily accessed and distributed, it’s nice to see custom printing making a comeback with local artists and designers. Our November Homegrown highlighted four of those local artists.

Long story short, the AIGA Raleigh Studio Tour was awesome. I’m always on a bit of design-high after any AIGA event. It’s so inspiring to learn from other designers in the community and know that we can all call AIGA “home”.
