This is a series of 10 blog posts on why Raleigh is an AWESOME city for designers!

The amount of creativity that you find on a daily basis in Raleigh is truly inspiring! And it’s not just the designers making this happen. There is creativity everywhere you look- it’s in our architecture, our artists, our writers, our music, our theater! Just walking downtown, you’ll be surrounded by creative culture. We have the CAM, a museum that seeks to curate the most contemporary works of art and design and spark new thinking by creating ever-changing experiences. They host Creative Mornings, which is the place to be if you’re hoping to catch the creative bug! Creative mornings is a free breakfast lecture series that that celebrates Raleigh’s creative talent and promotes an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. We have the North Carolina Museum of Art, as well as tons of other great art museums. We have Artspace, a place that inspires creativity by engaging the community in the visual arts process. You can visit them on First Friday in Raleigh, when local art galleries, art studios, alternative art venues, and museums stay open late the first Friday of every month to welcome thousands of art-seeking enthusiasts downtown. There are a ton of creative things to do in Raleigh! But the creativity doesn’t start and stop in Raleigh. Many other surrounding areas, like Durham, have a huge creative culture. The greatest part about this hub of creativity in the South is that each city, town or district really has it’s own unique creative vibe, making Raleigh an AWESOME city for designers!
