2016 AIGA Raleigh Student Portfolio Review

AIGA Raleigh is happy to announce that the 2016 AIGA Raleigh Student Portfolio Review is scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 9th at Citrix in downtown Raleigh.

The AIGA Raleigh Student Portfolio Review is an event established for senior, undergraduate level students that are beginning their transformation as emerging designers. As a participant, you will receive a constructive, one-on-one evaluation of your work from a variety of design professionals located in the Triangle area.

Consider the Student Portfolio Review to be your call-to-action: to receive broader feedback and critique from fresh experienced eyes. While this event is not a job fair, some reviewers may be looking for potential employees or interns. This is a great way to network and become aware of who’s who in the Triangle design community.

Students: Registration is now closed! All student spots have been filled for this year's Portfolio Review. For those attending, on the day of the event, you will check in on the first floor of Citrix when you arrive. Check-in is from 1:00–1:30. Please be considerate of time and arriving there with enough time to park, walk in, and check-in.

Reviewers please arrive promptly at 2:00 pm on the 1st floor of Citrix. You will check in and will receive your schedule at that time. After you receive your schedule, you will be able to network with fellow professionals and enjoy refreshments. Following networking, each reviewer will provide a one-on-one evaluation (approx. 25 minutes each) with four individual students. Lastly, the Directors of the event will pose questions that recap design expectations and characteristics of a junior designer.

Volunteers please arrive promptly at 11:30 am on the 1st floor of Citrix.  We will be giving a tour of the event space upon your arrival. You will be receiving your individualized schedules via email prior to the event date. We will be providing light refreshments for our volunteers that you will be able to enjoy at your convenience.

Post Review Mingle
Join us after the Review at Humble Pie directly following the event at 5 pm. This is a time for you to continue the conversations you wanted to finish or catch up with people you wanted to see. We have loved seeing the motivation and conversations striking up after the review was over in past years and we wanted to offer a place to continue it. This part of the event is optional, but we would love to have you there. Attendees of the Post Review Mingle will be responsible for their own food and drink purchases.
