Where are we this month?
Raleigh Brewing Company in Downtown Raleigh. Really excited to be at this new venue! We will have a food truck (TBA) as well for your dining pleasure. The best in beer and food plus drawing?! WIN!
"So what is this Dine & Draw thing?"
Simply put it is just a social gather of people who want to get back in touch or stay in touch with what led us to creative careers in the first place. Drawing. As kids we all drew pictures. Some of us carried on into adulthood and some of us stopped. We all need to get back in touch with that side of us. You simply will not do your best work on a computer if you do not spend time with pencil and paper.
"I CAN'T DRAW!!!"
We cannot stress this enough... If you THINK you can't draw or letter COME ANYWAY!! Everyone CAN draw and letter its just that you don't. Crack open your creativity in new ways!
Our Guest Artist this Month? Mark Smith!
We will be doing Exquisite Corpse style comic panels. Pre-made panels will be provided to create surrealistic stochastic stories. Additonally, Eric Knisley and Mark will be unveiling thier latest collaborative work... an Exquisite Corpse entitled "the Deep." A project 6 months+ in the making!
Come drink, dine (Chick-N-Que is a fantastic Eastern Style BBQ truck) and draw, draw, draw!
