White Like Me: Screening & Discussion

Do discussions about racism and inequity make you uncomfortable? Are you at a loss to understand your own privilege? Are you curious about how individual attitudes, politics, and policy are shaped by assumptions of race? Join our local design community for a screening of White Like Me: Race, Racism, and White Privilege in America by Tim Wise, an anti-racism activist.

Designers from around the triangle are invited to join us to screen the film, participate in respectful discussion and share personal reflections about racism in our local creative community.

This event is presented by AIGA Raleigh and hosted by Hey Monkey! Design.

Our chapter’s mission is to “create a place where design thrives for everyone.” Creativity flourishes when people with different perspectives participate openly and honestly. That’s why diversity and inclusion are not optional for an organization like ours—they are the foundation of the creativity AIGA was created to nurture and protect.
