Video isn’t just for YouTube anymore. It’s everywhere. It’s truly become a vital component of brand storytelling, and this HOMEGROWN Lunch & Learn event from AIGA Raleigh is designed to help you add video to your growing list of skills. We’ve invited Mike Esser, team lead for digital media at Red Hat, to lunch, and want you to join us for an inside look at how he approaches his craft.
“As more companies explore using digital media & video as a way to share their story, the need for designers to play a role in that content is more important now than ever before. Join me for a discussion around how video has evolved over the past few years and why I believe that the same designers who are creating the brand identities, web assets and print materials for these clients should also be involved in the discussions and creation of the digital media and video content.”
– Mike Esser, Team Lead, Red Hat Digital Media & Video

At work, I’m a proud member of Red Hat’s Brand Communications & Design team here in Raleigh, NC. As the Team Lead for the Digital Media & Video team, I’m fortunate to be a part of virtually every video we produce, both internally for our employees and externally for our community. Before coming to Red Hat, I lived in New York City & Boston where for over 7 years, I worked on television, commercial and film productions doing everything from production management and creative development to getting cough syrup and donuts for “important” directors.
