Want to see where the magic happens? Don’t miss this opportunity to get an inside look at twelve of the Triangle’s leading Graphic Design, Web Design and Advertising Agencies in downtown Durham and Carrboro. Each studio will be opening its doors to the public, offering light refreshments and chatting with potential employees, interns, vendors, colleagues and clients. This event is free and open to the public.
The following agencies will be participating in the Durham/Carrboro event:
Nancy Frame Design
Newfangled Web Factory
The Splinter Group
Click here to access a Google Map of the venues. Printed maps will be available at the event. An AIGA Party Bus will be running a circuit of the studios in downtown Durham to maximize your mingling. The Party Bus will start its route at Flywheel Design, at 111 W. Parrish St. in the center of downtown Durham. If you arrive at 5:30pm, you can hop on the bus for its maiden voyage and stop at whichever studio(s) you’d like to visit. The bus will be looping back around every 15 minutes or so, and you can hop back on/off whenever you’d like. You can visit as many or as few studios as you wish.
This should be a great networking event for the local design community. It’s also a terrific opportunity for local business owners and entrepreneurs to become acquainted with the creative talent in their own backyard. We encourage local design students, professional designers, commercial photographers, videographers, copywriters, creative directors, printer reps, paper reps, web developers, illustrators, business owners, marketing directors, and other design aficionados to join in the fun.
A second Studio Open House [Raleigh/Cary Edition] will be held from 5:30–8:30pm on Thursday, March 10th. Twelve agencies will be participating in that event as well: Capstrat, Creative Associates, Fabrik Agency, Fragment Labs, FWV, Hesketh, Mellonaid Creative, New Kind, Ninth Floor, Red Hat, R+M, and Signal Design.
