North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences: An Accessibility Tour and Q&A

Join David Wood, Coordinator of Accessibility and Inclusion; Javan Sutton, Senior Exhibit Project Coordinator; and Jason Whitman, Museum Exhibit Designer, at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Museum staff will talk about making signage, exhibitions, and programs accessible to museum-goers with specific disabilities. It is sure to be an incredible event and space is limited to 25 people.

The evening will start in the Museum's Environmental Conference Center, located on the 4th floor of the Nature Research Center, where AIGA Raleigh's Director of Inclusive Design, Alexandra Dean Grossi will give a quick presentation on what design for inclusion means. Museum staff will then give a tour of the museum with Q&A at the end.

This is a free event with very limited tickets. Please be mindful and update your status if you cannot make the event.  No-shows are effectively taking spots away from potential attendees.

This is the second in a series of events about what it means to design for inclusion and accessibility. The series will take a summer hiatus and start back up in September.

If you have any questions, please contact Alexandra Grossi at alexandra.grossi@raleigh.aiga.org.
