AIGA Raleigh June 2019 Community Meeting with a focus on Design for Good! ALSO A BOOK DRIVE!

This month, join Ricky Rodriguez our Director of Design for Good and discover how you can fill those pockets of spare time with projects that will scratch your design itch and do good in your community. 

As designers when a cause has a call to arms we seem to default to "I can make a poster!" And while that may be what's needed there is much more we can do and that is needed by many organizations both big and small right in your own backyard.

A Book Drive!?
The books for this drive will be going towards the building of a small library at the Fight for 15 Union Hall in Downtown Durham. Late this summer will be a mural and library donation event in conjunction with the Poor People’s Campaign and the local NAACP. This library will be focused on inspiring both children and young students of lower-income families to build stronger communities by incorporating art and design. Please bring in any children’s books + any art/design inspiration books.

This is our last meeting until August. We are closing out the 2018-2019 programming year! We will have event updates, a quick recap of 2018-2019 programming and dinner and drinks after at the Blue Note Grill right down the road.
