Merry Mingle recap

We kicked off the 2010 holiday season with a new idea: bring five local professional organizations together at one big gathering. It was an alphabet soup of a party that included members of TIMA, AAF-RDU, AIGA, IABC and Social Carolina. And it was proof that we can accomplish a lot together. Whether you wanted to catch up with old friends, make new contacts or get in the holiday mood, the Merry Mingle was the place to be to do all of the above. Plus, we made a nice donation to the Interfaith Food Shuttle’s Backpack Buddies Program.

If you think about it, there’s nothing like this in our area. We’ve got an incredible brain trust of smart professionals involved in each one of these groups, each with their own goals and priorities. Beyond events like trade shows, there aren’t a lot of opportunities for us to mingle.

So, what did you think? If you attended, did you enjoy the event? Would you go again next year? Do you have any suggestions on how we can make it bigger, better or more merry?
